Having a baby can be overwhelming in so many ways, one being the seemingly endless list of baby gadgets and products we “absolutely need to buy” in order to be a good parent or have a happy baby. Especially today in the world of TikTok and Instagram where we are constantly being served with different ads and opinions, it can be hard to figure out what is truly worth it. After going through my first year of motherhood I wanted to put together a list of things that I think are actually worth it and both myself and Sofia truly love.

Sofia’s Favourites
BIBS Pacifiers - These pacifiers have been Sofia’s favourites since she was a newborn and they come in the cutest colours.
BabyBjorn Bouncer - This bouncer was a lifesaver during the early days of motherhood and allowed me to be hands-free for a little while and get some work done.
Philips Avent Bottles - These have been Sofia’s favourite bottles and are super easy to clean and sterilize.
Skip Hop Activity Center - Once Sofia started standing this was the perfect way to keep her entertained throughout the day.
Dr. Brown’s Water Bottles - This water bottle is the perfect training cup transitioning from a bottle and is spill proof and durable.

Skip Hop Bath Tub - The perfect bath tub that supports your baby from newborn - 6+ months
Summer Infant Bath Seat - Provides support and is easy to set-up and remove
Skip Hop Rinse Cup - Keeps water out of your baby’s eyes and ears
Bumbo Seat - Allows your baby to sit up before they can support themselves and is super easy to clean.
Momcozy Bottle Warmer - Heats bottles quickly and evenly.
Ourson Reversible Play Mat - Ourson is a Canadian company and has a large variety of play mats in aesthetic colours and prints that won’t clash with your home decor.
Diaper Genie - Keep your baby’s nursery smelling fresh
Ikea Storage Bins - These storage bins have been the perfect addition to Sofia’s playroom to hide all of her toys at the end of the day. You can even add sticker decals to make them more custom to your room decor.
Old Navy 2-Way Zipper Onesies - These onesies were my favourite for the early months! They are so convenient with the 2-way zippers for easy diaper changes and have optional mittens that roll down on the sleeves.
Hatch Go - I keep this sound machine attached to my diaper bag and it is perfect for car rides, walks, and trips.
Hatch Sound Machine - The perfect sound machine for your nursery with a built-in night light.
Mompush Travel Stroller - This stroller is lightweight and compact and was the perfect stroller for our first family vacation!
7AM Car Seat Cocoon - When you live in Canada this is an essential for the cold fall and winter months and comes in a large variety of colours and fabrics.
